Privacy policy
Fundamentals Atelier (“we”, “us”) provides a drawing-practice application and this website at ghosted.ch. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to anyone who uses the app or visits the site.
Who we are
Fundamentals Atelier is a small independent app for artists. You can reach us at privacy@ghosted.ch.
Information we collect
The app runs on your device. We do not require you to create an account with us, and we do not operate a user database of drawings or reference images.
Depending on how you use the product, the following information may be processed:
- On-device files you choose. Reference images from folders you select, and sketches you save. These stay on your computer unless you move them yourself.
- Pinterest account data, if you connect Pinterest. With your permission we receive read-only access to your Pinterest user identity, the boards you own or collaborate on (including secret boards you allow), and Pins on those boards (image URLs and basic metadata such as titles). We never receive your Pinterest password. We do not create, edit, or delete Pins or boards. We do not access another person’s boards unless they have already made you a collaborator.
- Website visits. This site is a static landing page. We do not set advertising cookies. The page may load fonts from Google Fonts, and the site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Those providers may process your IP address and standard browser request data as described in their own policies.
How we use information
We use this information to:
- provide timed drawing sessions from your references
- list your Pinterest boards and display Pin images as references, if you connect Pinterest
- cache Pin images on your device so sessions can run without re-downloading
- operate and secure this website
- respond to privacy or support requests you send us
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not build marketing profiles.
Connecting Pinterest is optional. If you choose to connect, you authorize the app through Pinterest’s OAuth screen. The scopes we request are limited to reading your account, boards, and Pins (including secret boards and Pins you allow).
Access and refresh tokens are stored on your device so you do not have to log in every session. You can disconnect in the app, which stops further API access. You can also revoke the app from your Pinterest account settings. Pinterest is an independent controller of your Pinterest account; see Pinterest’s Privacy Policy.
Sharing
We share personal data only as follows:
- Pinterest — when you connect your account, as described above
- Service providers — GitHub Pages (website hosting) and Google (fonts on this site)
- Legal — if we are required to do so by law
We do not sell or rent personal data to third parties.
Retention
On-device tokens, cached images, and sketches remain on your computer until you delete them or disconnect Pinterest. We do not keep a copy of your drawings or Pinterest data on our own servers. Email you send to us is kept only as long as needed to handle your request.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect tokens and other data stored by the app on your device. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for physical access to your computer.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including Switzerland and the European Economic Area), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict personal data we hold, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because most app data lives on your device, the fastest way to delete it is to disconnect Pinterest and remove local cache and sketch files. For anything we may hold (for example an email you sent us), contact privacy@ghosted.ch.
Children
Fundamentals Atelier is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
If you connect Pinterest or visit this website, some processing may occur in the United States (Pinterest, GitHub, Google). Those providers apply their own safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where required.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app or website after an update means you accept the revised policy.
